Privacy policy

When you fill in a form on this site, on the contact page or elsewhere, we collect what you typed into it: your name, an email address or phone number, which service you are asking about, how you found us if you chose to say, and whatever you wrote in the message. That is the whole of it. There are no hidden fields.

If you become a client we hold the ordinary things needed to do the work and get paid for it: contact details, billing details, the access you grant us to your own accounts, and the correspondence between us.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and the pages requested. They are a by-product of serving a website rather than something we gather deliberately, and we do not use them to build a picture of anybody.

To reply to you, to do the work you have asked for, to invoice you for it, and to keep the records a business is required to keep. Nothing else.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry, and there is no newsletter here to be added to.

Information is shared only where the work needs it: the suppliers who host this site and deliver our email, the platforms you have asked us to work in on your behalf, our accountants, and anybody we are legally required to give it to. Where we bring in a named specialist for part of a job we tell you at the time.

Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within twelve months. Client records are kept for as long as the relationship runs and then for six years afterwards, which is the period UK tax law requires for financial records.

We take reasonable measures to keep what we hold secure and to limit who can reach it, which in a studio this size means a very short list of people.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, ask us to stop using it, or ask for a copy in a portable form. These are your rights under UK GDPR and you do not need a reason to exercise them.

Write to the address below and we will answer within one month, usually a great deal sooner. If we have got something wrong and you are not satisfied with how we have dealt with it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
