Today we’re going to be taking a look at backlinks with high domain authority in 2024 as the topic of choice.
Just to clarify, the word authority isn’t being used properly. Although the SEO industry refers to busy websites as having a higher authority, I would challenge that notion.
Mainstream media websites sometimes have high domain authority and still have content which stinks and an opinion which doesn’t represent reasoning or the voice of the vast majority in their geography.

And now here’s a little FAQ section for those who are interested:

I’ve heard that a rule of thumb is to stay above domain authority (DA) 50 and above, although, there’s no official way to say.

‘High authority’ backlinks are backlinks from referring domains that have been given a weighted average score out of 100, and tend to be in the upper half of that. Meaning a domain authority score of 50 or over. This definition is however subject to change over time and is of course nothing but an opinion.

Go to the list linked on this blog post and start to create some unique entries on different profile creation websites and local business directories. The more ‘high domain authority’ backlinks you have, the higher your own ‘domain authority’ may be.

As you could have guessed, it’s the site that connects together most other websites on the internet, Google! YouTube is a joint first, however this is also a Google company.

It depends on your definition of good… It isn’t quite charity, but it’s above 0 so it’s ok. A domain with 25 domain authority (DA) isn’t the best to give you a backlink, however if your own domain’s DA is 25 or above, you’re not doing the worst where link building performance is concerned.

Bad is relative, so not necessarily. However to benefit websites that you link to from your website, more, you may want to increase the DA of the websites that you’re approaching for link building purposes.
